Building academic bridges between Vietnam and Brazil

The Education Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brazil-Vietnam (Latam Vietnam Chamber) aims to promote and strengthen academic cooperation between educational institutions in Vietnam and Brazil. Through strategic partnerships, exchanges, and educational programs, we seek to expand learning and development opportunities for students, teachers, and researchers.

Committee Goals:

Facilitate collaboration agreements between universities and educational institutions from both continents.
Encourage academic exchange programs and scholarships.
Promote language learning, with a focus on Portuguese and Vietnamese, to enhance cultural understanding.
Support events, seminars, and workshops on education and academic innovation.
Connect businesses and academic institutions for the development of joint projects and applied research.

Partnership with One Heart for Healing and Hanoi University

The partnership between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brazil-Vietnam (Latam Vietnam Chamber) and the NGO One Heart for Healing promotes language teaching and cultural exchange, expanding academic and professional opportunities.

Negotiations are underway for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hanoi University, aiming at educational collaborations and academic exchanges between Brazil and Vietnam.

In December 2024, Ms. Nguyễn Vũ Thu Hà, head of the Portuguese Department at Hanoi University, met with chamber representatives to discuss future cooperation. Among the topics discussed, the strengthening of the Portuguese Department, partnerships with Brazilian universities, and scholarships were highlighted.

Portuguese Conversation Program

The Portuguese Conversation Program is an initiative aimed at strengthening cultural and educational ties between Vietnam and Brazil. The program provides Vietnamese students who speak Portuguese with a valuable opportunity to practice and enhance their language skills through direct interactions with native speakers.

The program offers regular online conversation sessions that allow students to immerse themselves more deeply in Portuguese language and culture. In this way, we aim to not only improve language learning but also strengthen ties between Vietnam and Brazil through education and intercultural dialogue.

The program is organized by the chamber in partnership with One Heart for Healing and is offered for free.
